Bring comfort back to your life with LipiFlow®

LipiFlow is the most revolutionary treatment for Dry Eye, providing comfort to 86% of Dry Eye patients.

Dry Eye is a progressive disease and without treatment it can worsen over time. LipiFlow can treat your dry eye symptoms with its revolutionary technology that is backed by over 25 years of scientific research.

In a clinical study, 79% of patients reported improved overall dry eye symptoms (ranging from 10% to 100% improvement) within four weeks of a single LipiFlow treatment.

WHAT IS LIPIFLOW? LipiFlow Thermal Pulsation technology applies heat to the inner eyelids and gentle pressure, releasing lipids from the Meibomian glands. The procedure is fast, virtually painless, and takes place right in a doctor’s clinic.

The LipiFlow experience is more than just the treatment. It is a 3-stage assessment and treatment process. A licensed healthcare worker will perform a series of evaluations to determine the likely cause of your dry eye. You’ll start by completing a Dry Eye lifestyle questionnaire. It’s a brief assessment to determine how your eyes feel on a daily basis.

If your symptoms are more than mild, the first test will use the exclusive LipiView Ocular Surface Interferometer. If you’ve ever had a comprehensive eye exam, LipiView will be similar.

LipiView captures images of the tear film, processing 14 million pixels per second – more than a billion data points in total. This non-invasive process takes less than 5 minutes, and provides your doctor with information to further assess your tear film. If the tests indicate that LipiFlow is for you, then you will be offered treatment.

LipiFlow Thermal Pulsation technology applies controlled heat to the inner eyelid, and mild intermittent pressure releasing lipids from the blocked Meibomian glands. It does this without damage to the glands or the delicate structures of the eye. LipiFlow treats the upper and lower eyelids simultaneously. It takes only 10-15 minutes and can be applied to each eye simultaneously.
